Fresh, local ingredients + bold flavor profiles + charming decor= Antique Taco. I absolutely love Mexican cuisine and this quaint new establishment didn’t disappoint. The owners, husband & wife duo, Rick and Ashley Ortiz have integrated her love for antiques, with his passion for quality, meaningful food to create a full sensory experience.
The tacos are their speciality and you’ll find they offer a variety of options to please all palettes. We sampled the grilled ribeye and fish tacos, both were heavenly. The corn off the cob expertly mixed with parmesan cheese, black beans, red peppers, and avocado….AMAZING! Habanero popcorn, oh yeah! We’ve compiled a mental list of dishes to sample on our return trip.
We shared a pint of Rosemary Margarita that was truly the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve sampled my share. These are definitely on the repeat often list.
If you find yourself in Chicago, make it a point to stop in for a few tacos and a few margaritas!
